Antisemitism: is it truly only because we are Jewish?
In this video, I challenge the way the word antisemitism is often used today. Hatred of Jews simply for being Jewish is real and should be condemned—but should every criticism of Jewish beliefs, behavior, politics, or institutions automatically be placed under the same label?
When a term becomes so broad that it can shut down legitimate criticism or disagreement, it risks losing its meaning and may even create greater resentment. We should be able to distinguish irrational hatred from criticism, examine the reasons behind hostility, and judge arguments on their merits rather than dismissing them simply because they make us uncomfortable.
